Cocktail Competition – The Oxford Shake Off

The Cocktail Service is to host an industry wide competition on Monday 2nd December that is focused on sutainability. Working in association with The Oxford Artisan Distillery, Identity Brands and Britvic..its goig to be big. The prizes are epic too…

Sustainability is a hot topic right now, across a number of industries but none more so than in the hospitality industry. Sustainability in the world of cocktails is beyond no one and we are looking for a winner who can demonstrate fantastic sustainable credentials, as well as the ability to create incredible cocktails. The Format

The Cocktail Services’ inaugural cocktail competition will happen on Monday 2nd December 2019 in partnership with the TOAD distillery in Oxford. Focused on sustainability, this is in line with both our values of using local suppliers wherever possible and minimising our carbon footprint. Each entry will be judged by an expert panel of judges from our partner brands and a member of our team.

The Rules

A drink that is created around sustainability. Each Bartender finalist will have 5 mins preparation time and then 3 minutes make and present the drink. Each drink will be marked out of within 5 different categories totalling 30 points:

Name – 5 Points

Sustainability Story – 10 Points

Taste – 5 Points

Appearance – 10 Points

Base spirit must be from: TOAD Distillery  or Plantation Rum or Maison Ferrand

Mixers must be from: Britvic

Any other brands can be used as long as they aren’t a direct substitute for any of our partner brands products which can be found in the links above. Homemade infusions are encouraged.
