Red Winter Sour

45ml Maker’s Mark Bourbon
15ml Verjus
10ml Tonka Bean Syrup
20ml Tonka Bean Water
5ml Oloroso Sherry
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Add all ingredients to mixing glass and stir over ice. Serve in a rocks glass over ice.

The Red Winter Sour was created by bartender Alessio Zenaro for the inaugural Drinkstagram Awards 2020. The cocktail is beautifully balanced and placed in the Top 3 of the competition.

Alessio, a bartender at The Bluebird Paris, is a very skilled bartender and a worthy runner up of the Drinkstagram Awards. Originally from Italy, Alessio is a trained architect but the creativity of the Paris cocktail scene has led him to work behind the stick for the last few years.
